FAQ

What is auto detailing?

Auto detailing is a deep cleaning and restoration service for the inside and outside of your vehicle. It removes dirt, enhances shine, protects surfaces, and reaches areas you can’t get with a standard wash.

How long does a full detail take?

Most full details take 3–6 hours, depending on vehicle size and its condition.

How often should I have my vehicle detailed?

We recommend scheduling maintenance every 3–4 months for regular upkeep. If you want your vehicle to stay consistently showroom-ready, schedule maintenance every 1–2 months.

Do you come to me?

Yes — Auto Spa of Tampa Bay is a fully mobile service. We bring all water, power, and equipment needed to your home or workplace.

What’s the difference between a car wash and a professional detail?

A car wash cleans the surface. A detail deep cleans, restores, and protects — inside and out. It includes things like polishing, waxing, stain removal, leather care, and crack-and-crevice cleaning.

Will a detail remove scratches?

We can remove or reduce light scratches and swirl marks through polishing. Deep scratches that you can feel with your fingernail usually need paint repair.

Can detailing remove odors?

Yes — with interior shampooing, steam cleaning, and odor treatments, we can remove most odors at the source.

Do you work in the rain?

For safety and quality, outdoor mobile services need dry weather. If it rains, we’ll gladly reschedule at no extra cost.

CERAMIC COATING FAQs

What is a ceramic coating?

A ceramic coating is a high-strength protective layer applied to your paint. It shields your paint from UV rays, fading, bird droppings, bug impacts, and environmental contaminants. It also provides a long-lasting glossy finish.

How long does a ceramic coating last?

Depending on the package, ceramic coatings can last 1, 2, 3, 5, or even 7 years with proper maintenance.

Does the ceramic coating warrantied?

Our coating come with a nationwide warranty.

Is ceramic coating better than waxing?

Yes — ceramic coating outperforms wax in gloss, durability, protection, and longevity. Wax lasts weeks; a coating lasts years.

Does ceramic coating prevent scratches?

Coatings offer light scratch and swirl resistance, but they don’t make your vehicle scratch-proof. Proper washing is still important.

Do you need paint correction before a ceramic coating?

Yes. Polishing removes swirls and imperfections and ensures the coating bonds correctly. Skipping this step can trap defects under the coating.

How long does ceramic coating application take?

Most coatings take 4–10 hours, depending on prep work, correction level, and the number of coating layers.

Can you coat a brand-new vehicle?

Absolutely — new vehicles often have the cleanest paint surface, making them ideal for coating.
